Jesse Maldonado, Pregnant Nicole Parrot and Unborn Child Killed in Collision

A 38-year-old woman and her unborn child were killed in a head-on collision on Sunday evening along with Jesse Maldonado, 34.

The tragic accident took place in Clear Lake on October 17th at around 8:05 p.m.

According to CHP, a Nissan, driven by Parrot, collided head-on with a Cadillac XTS, driven by Maldonado on Highway 29.

It was also reported that Maldonado was driving the wrong way at the time of the collision.

Due to the impact, Parrot was ejected from her vehicle, thus killing her and her unborn child.

Maldonado also died at the scene of the crash upon impact.

Additionally, there were a 41-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy who were passengers in the Nissan. They sustained undisclosed injuries and were transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital for treatment in Lakeport.

An investigation is ongoing.

  • They are most common on two-lane highways
  • Failure in negotiating a curve on the road causes 23% of all fatal head-on collisions
  • 58% of head-on collisions result in a fatality
