Woman, 51, Killed in Crash at Van Ness and Imperial Hwy

Gregoria Barraza Mendez, 51, died in a crash at Van Ness Avenue and Imperial Highway in unincorporated Inglewood.

The two-vehicle collision occurred about 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3rd, according to the NBC Los Angeles and My News LA.

Two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances at the Inglewood intersection at Van Ness Avenue and Imperial Highway.

Apparently, one of the vehicles caught on fire following the collision. Firefighters and paramedics both responded to the scene and located three injured people, but Gregoria Barraza Mendez died at the scene.

The other two people were both transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, police officers closed down the intersection temporarily to conduct an investigation and remove damaged vehicles.

The cause of the fatal Inglewood crash remains under investigation.
