Hit-and-Run Near Glenoaks Boulevard

A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a pedestrian at Glenoaks Boulevard and Pacific Avenue in Glendale.

According to an article published by My News LA, the accident took place last week on Friday. Officers reported the collision on July 9 at about 12:25 a.m.

Glendale police said the incident happened when a vehicle was going west on Glenoaks Boulevard. For an unknown reason, its driver turned onto North Pacific Avenue.

In the process, the car struck the pedestrian in the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim left wounded in the roadway.

The pedestrian sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel soon took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the person hurt and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid and fled northbound on Pacific Avenue.

Officers described the vehicle as a white 2017 or 2018 Nissan Altima with tinted windows. The car obtained damage to the right side of its front bumper and a missing passenger side window.

Police forced the area of Glenoaks Boulevard and Pacific Avenue to close for a time following the crash. The Glendale hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
