Major Injury Crash in Trinity River, California 

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Trinity River on Saturday afternoon. 

According to reports, the accident took place on March 19th around 1:13 p.m. on SR 299.

26-year-old Giorgi Ambrolidze, of Brooklyn, New York, suffered serious injuries as a result. He was airlifted to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. 

It was reported that a westbound Toyota Camry veered into oncoming traffic and collided with an eastbound Ford F-350 truck-trailer. 

Upon impact, the Toyota spun counterclockwise and crashed into the trailer.

The impact also caused the transmission and engine of the Toyota to be ripped out. 

Ambroladze was the driver of the Ford. The female driver of the Toyota, Katelyn Patten, 19, along with her passenger, Lewis Jakab, 19, were taken to Trinity General Hospital. Their injuries have yet to be specified. 

An active investigation is underway to determine what may have factored into the collision.

  • Exchange information with others involved and document everything
