7-Year-Old Fatally Struck on Lakewood Boulevard 

Gabriel Garate, only 7-years-old, was fatally struck by a pickup truck in Long Beach on Tuesday, July 26th. 

Per reports, the incident occurred at 5:25 p.m. on Lakewood Boulevard. 

Garate was crossing the street with his father when a Dodge Ram pickup truck hit him. 

The driver, ID’d as James Barnes, was arrested on vehicular manslaughter and was released Wednesday on a $50,000 bond.
