Traffic Accident Reported at Cedar and Gettysburg Avenues 

The Fresno Police Department is actively investigating an accident involving a fire truck that occurred Wednesday afternoon. 

It was around 2:30 p.m. when a car and the truck collided at the intersection of Cedar and Gettysburg Avenue.

The truck was responding to a medical call and was approaching the intersection with its sirens and lights. 

As it proceeded forward, it then collided with the car on July 13th. 

The driver of the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

None of the firefighters were injured. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

Tips for after accident procedures:

  • Always stop at the scene 
  • Call 911 if there are any injuries 
  • Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
  • Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
  • Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
