The crash was the result of a vehicle running a stop sign, causing it to crash into a pickup truck.

In addition, the driver of the pickup was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

The identity of the deceased will be released once notification of kin.

Statistics have shown that approximately 70% of motor-vehicle accidents are a result of stop sign violations. These accidents often happen at an angle rather than head on and about one-third result in some sort of injury.

Although stop signs are in place to prevent accidents, unfortunately not everyone adheres. This is why it is essential to always pay attention and avoid any distractions on the road.

If your injuries are caused by the negligence of a third party you may be entitled to compensation. In the event of a death, families may also be entitled to wrongful death benefits.

It is important to remember that in the state of California a person involved in a car accident who has sustained injuries has to file a claim within two years of the accident.

Always make sure to wear a seatbelt, obey traffic laws, and avoid distractions while driving.
