Deadly Crash Involving Motorcyclist and Semi-Truck 

CHP reported a fatal traffic accident in Fresno on Sunday evening, July 31st. 

Reports included that the crash took place at 5:10 p.m. within the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway. 

A semi-truck and motorcycle collided under unclear circumstances, resulting in the death of one person. 

The crash remains under investigation. 

The name of the deceased is also being withheld at this time pending notification of kin. 

According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death.
