Bicyclist Hit & Killed on Highway 43 

Authorities have identified the bicyclist who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Shafter on September 12th. 

44-year-old Francisco Saldivar was struck just minutes after 2 in the morning on Highway 43.

It is unclear at this time what led to the vehicle hitting him. 

Sadly, the rider died at the scene. 

Investigators are working to piece together all of the details of the accident.
