Multi-Vehicle Crash Reported on Highway 22

California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday in Orange.

The accident took place at 3:25 p.m. within the westbound lanes of Highway 22.

A total of four vehicles collided under unclear circumstances on August 22nd, just west of Lewis Street.

Two people suffered minor injuries as a result and were hospitalized for treatment.

Tow trucks were also needed to remove the vehicles from the scene. The highway opened back up at 4:07 p.m.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
