Woman Killed in Sacramento Bicycle Accident on Power Inn Road near Elsie Avenue

A female cyclist was fatally struck by a car on Thursday afternoon in Sacramento, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened a while after 5:24 p.m. December 15, on Power Inn Road near Elsie Avenue.

Police said a woman was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a vehicle for unknown reasons.

Firefighters and medical personnel rushed to the scene to aid the cyclist. The woman was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. She later died while undergoing treatment.

The deceased’s name was not immediately released awaiting notification from the family.

Authorities confirmed the involved driver stayed at the accident location after the accident. Police also said they did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a role in the accident.
