Davis Bicycle Crash Injures Woman at Highway 113
An unidentified woman was seriously injured on Tuesday evening in a bicycle accident.
The major injury crash occurred on Tuesday evening, October 26th in Davis.
According to the Davis Police Department, the woman was riding her bike on Russell Boulevard and Highway 113 when a vehicle struck her.
The accident took place at 7:15 p.m. when the vehicle ran a red light and hit her.
Emergency personnel rushed the 19-year-old woman to Kaiser Vacaville with critical injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Statistics from 2019 show that 846 people were killed in crashes that involved running a red light and about 143,000 people were injured.
