One Killed on Interstate 880 in Oakland
Six vehicles were involved in a deadly car accident on Monday morning, August 15th in Oakland.
The crash took place just before 3 a.m. within the southbound lanes of the I-880 Freeway.
According to CHP, a vehicle rear-ended another, causing someone to be ejected and hit by a third vehicle.
In an attempt to avoid the initial collision, a fourth vehicle ended up crashing as well.
There was also a 5th vehicle that struck the person on the ground that was ejected.
A 6th vehicle became involved under unclear circumstances.
Investigators are actively working to piece together all of the details of the accident.

- Call 911 if there are any injuries
- Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
- Exchange information with others involved and document everything
- Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
