Woman Struck by Vehicle & Killed on Garden Highway
An unidentified woman fell victim to a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred in Yuba City on May 19th just before 6 a.m.
Per reports, the woman was struck by a southbound vehicle on Garden Highway.
She unfortunately suffered major injuries and later died at Adventist Rideout Hospital.
The involved driver was traveling in a 2009-2012 gray Honda two-door coupe sedan. It would also have front end damage on its right side.

The crash remains under investigation.
According to statistics, 20% of pedestrian fatalities include fleeing drivers. In addition, 68% of those killed in hit-and-run crashes are pedestrians and bicyclists.
There was also a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.
In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
