Highway 101 Crash Leaves One Dead
One person died as the result of a two-vehicle collision in Chualar, CA on Friday morning.
According to CHP, the wreck took place on April 22nd on Highway 101 around 5:30 a.m.
A GMC Yukon and another vehicle collided under unclear circumstances.
Upon impact, one vehicle struck a guardrail and erupted in flames.
Smoke also erupted from both vehicles as a result.
Unfortunately, one person was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators are actively working to determine fault for the crash.
In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
