One Killed in Crash at Bird Road and 11th Street 

CHP is actively investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred in Tracy on Sunday afternoon. 

Reports included that the accident occurred at 2:26 p.m. on April 25th. 

A white sedan and Chevrolet Tahoe collided at the intersection of Bird Road and 11th Street under unclear circumstances. 

As a result, one person sadly died due to the impact. 

Police shut down the intersection for hours as crews worked at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation to determine fault.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
