Man, 28, Killed in Santa Monica Bicycle Accident
A 28-year-old man died in a bicycle accident in Santa Monica on Thanksgiving Day while riding on Pacific Coast Highway.
The collision occurred about early Thursday, Nov. 24th, according to a report by Santa Monica Daily Press.
A driver in a Tesla allegedly struck the man in the No. 2 lane in the 400 block of PCH due to unknown circumstances.
The cyclist suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved cooperated with authorities at the scene. Police closed down the highway between Entrada Drive to the California Incline to conduct an investigation.
The Santa Monica Police Department’s Major Accident Report Team is heading up the investigation. Preliminary results do not indicate that drugs and or alcohol are factors in the fatal crash.
