Fatal San Jose Pedestrian Accident HWY 101, McKee Road

A fatal San Diego pedestrian accident on state Route 18 happened Thursday night near the Cabrillo 163 Freeway.

The deadly collision occurred at 10:15 p.m. on Dec. 15th at the transition between the eastbound SR 18 and the Cabrillo (163) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol’s San Diego station.

CHP officers responded and located the deceased pedestrian lying on the freeway.

The report did not mention if the motorist involved stopped following the collision.

Meanwhile, authorities did not disclose the victim’s age and gender.

Police investigators shut down two lanes of the freeway and are piecing together evidence to determine what led up to the crash.

The collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol’s San Diego Office.
