Child Killed in Riverside Crash on Moreno Valley Freeway
A fatal Riverside crash involving a semi-truck left one child dead on the Moreno Valley (215) Freeway and Blaine Street in Riverside.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 12:33 a.m. on Nov. 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Riverside California Highway Patrol sent police officers to the freeway’s northbound side where they located the semi truck and a white Kia sedan occupied by a woman and two children. It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time.
Sadly, one of the children in the car died at the scene and the second child was severely injured in the crash. The woman driving the vehicle suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics with the Riverside Fire Department transported the surviving woman and child to a hospital.
It’s unknown at this time if the truck driver suffered any injuries.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert and conducted an investigation for several hours.
