Fatal Oakland Car Crash on I-580 Near Harrison Street

On Monday, January 30 at about 6:37 AM, a fatal Oakland car crash took place. According to California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at the Harrison Street off ramp.

Witnesses Called to Report the Fatal Oakland Car Crash

A nearby witness called 911 to report that a vehicle from the westbound region of the I-580 freeway was traveling up the embankment. When paramedics and the local Oakland Police Department arrived at the accident scene, they found one individual deceased in the involved vehicle.

Whether additional vehicles were involved, is not currently known. Authorities are currently investigating the name of the victim, as well as the cause of the accident.
