One Killed & One Injured in Antelope Valley Accident
A woman was killed and another injured in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon in Antelope Valley.
The incident occurred at 1:15 p.m. on February 27th on State Route 18.
An unidentified female motorcyclist was traveling eastbound in a Harley-Davidson before drifting across the double yellow lines.
As a result, the rider collided head-on with a 2021 Toyota.
Sadly, the rider died at the scene of the crash. In addition, the male passenger on the bike suffered serious injuries and was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital.
The two occupants of the Toyota, Marybell Delgadillo, 31, and Maria Delapaz Lozano, 67, also sustained minor injuries.
California Highway Patrol are actively investigating the collision.
According to statistics, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death.
