Crash Claims the Life of Meghan Waulet

A vehicle and motorcycle collided on Pacific Coast Highway on Saturday evening, September 11th. 

The accident took place around 8:17 p.m. in Huntington Beach between Warner Avenue and the state beach entrance. 

Meghan Wautlet, 22, was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The unidentified male driver of the bike also suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. 

According to witnesses, the motorcycle was driving recklessly as it traveled north and crashed into a vehicle making a U-turn. 

In addition, both directions of Pacific Coast Highway were closed down as a result following the collision. 

Investigators are also working to determine any other factors that may have led to the crash.
