Train & Big Rig Accident Results in Death 

One person was killed in a crash involving a train and big rig on Thursday, August 18th. 

Authorities reported that the accident took place on Sierra and Simpson Streets. 

The big rig was traveling west when the crossing-arms came down on its hood on the train tracks. 

This caused the truck to be hit by the train, leading to an explosion. 

Sadly, one person died as a result. 

Multiple road closures occurred due to the incident.
