Semi-Truck, Pickup in Fatal Crash at Delano Intersection

Robert Ochoa, 25, was injured in a deadly truck collision that happened in Delano on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened at around 5 a.m. November 17, on Driver Road and 9th Avenue.

According to the report, a 20-year-old Delao man was driving a Honda Ridgeline truck eastbound on 9th Avenue when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with the side of a  35-foot box truck heading south on Driver Road.

The driver of the Honda was killed in the incident.

Ochoa, who was the driver of the box truck, was taken to Adventist Health Hospital in Delano with minor injuries.
