One Unidentified Person Killed Following Cerritos Crash
At least 6 vehicles collided on Wednesday morning in Cerritos on January 5th.
The accident occurred just before 9 a.m. near Bloomfield Avenue and South Street.
Per reports, a FedEx delivery truck was among one of the vehicles involved. At this time, however, it is unclear what caused the collision.
Unfortunately, one person died at the scene of the crash.
Two others were also injured and taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.
As a result of the crash, several packages and debris flooded the scene.
The intersection was shut down by police for a period of time as authorities investigation the scene.
Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
