One Killed Following Golden State Freeway Crash
The cause of a fatal two-vehicle crash in Castaic is under investigation.
Per CHP, the accident occurred on Tuesday night at 10:10 p.m. within the northbound lanes of the Golden State (5) Freeway.
A Volkswagen Golf became disabled after slamming into the center median and was struck by a Hyundai Ioniq shortly after.
Sadly, the driver of the Volkswagen was declared dead at the scene. He has been identified as 23-year-old Diego Valencia, of Castaic.
In addition, the 42-year-old male driver of the Hyundai suffered minor injuries.
Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
