Dump Truck Crash Results in 1 Death
A pickup truck and dump truck collided on Monday morning resulting in the death of one unidentified man.
The accident occurred on November 29th around 9:14 a.m. on Taft Highway.
According to reports, the 38-year-old man was driving his pickup westbound prior to crossing into the eastbound lane.
As a result, he hit an oncoming dump truck head-on.
Unfortunately, the driver of the pickup truck died at the scene.
Additionally, the other involved driver sustained minor injuries, however he was not treated.
It is a possibility that the driver of the pickup was distracted by his phone at the time of the crash.
An active investigation is underway to determine liability.
