Fatal Bicycle Accident Reported In Santa Clara Valley, CA

A bicycle rider was killed due to a crash that happened on Hale Avenue in the Coyote community.

According to news reports, the crash began when a 51-year-old San Jose woman was riding a Schwinn bicycle on Hale Avenue in Coyote.

Meanwhile, a 2003 Honda was traveling south. For unknown reasons, the car veered onto the shoulder and struck the bicyclist as a result.

The rider was thrown from the bicycle as a result. Emergency crew responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The CHP group affirmed that the Morgan Hill man driving the car stopped after hitting the victim.
