Two-Vehicle Collision Causes Rollover on Citrus Avenue 

Two people were hospitalized following a rollover collision on Monday morning in Escondido. 

The crash occurred just minutes before 8 a.m. on South Citrus Avenue, near Birch Avenue on December 6th. 

It is unclear at this time what caused the collision, however, one vehicle rolled over onto its side as a result. 

Emergency personnel airlifted one person to a hospital and another was taken via land ambulance. 

The extent of their injuries has yet to be specified. 

Tow trucks were also needed to remove both vehicles from the scene. 

Investigators are actively working to determine liability. 

Statistics show that rollover accidents account for about one-third of all fatalities in the U.S. In  addition, 30% of vehicle fatalities are rollover crashes. These types of accidents are far more likely to result in a fatality than non-rollover crashes.
