Deadly Crash on 710 Freeway

A Yorba Linda man was killed in a crash on Saturday morning in Long Beach. 

CHP reported that the accident occurred on May 14th within the southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway. 

57-year-old Erik Moen was driving when his vehicle collided with another under unclear circumstances. 

One of the vehicles became engulfed in flames as a result and the other rolled onto its side. 

Sadly, Moen died at the scene of the crash that occurred just before 6 a.m. 

Police also shut down the freeway lanes for several hours following the accident. 

The crash remains under investigation.
