Man Identified in Deadly Cathedral City Hit-and-Run Crash

Police are still in search of the suspect that hit and killed a motorcyclist in Cathedral City on May 15th. 

The hit-and-run accident occurred at 1:18 a.m. at the intersection of Ramon and Lawrence Crossley Roads.

An Indio resident, Enrique Fernandez, 41, was riding a motorcycle when a Nissan Titan Crew Cab pickup turned in front of him. 

The two collided as a result, causing major injuries to both the operator and passenger of the bike. 

First responders rushed the two to Desert Regional Medical Center where Fernandez was sadly declared dead. 

His passenger, on the other hand, survived with broken bones. 

The involved driver fled the scene and police are still working to identify the suspect.

The license plate number is 61166K3. Those with information are urged to contact the Cathedral City Police Department at 760-770-0300.
