Fatal Van Nuys Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident 

49-year-old Enrique Aponte has been ID’d as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle Sunday morning. 

The fatal pedestrian accident occurred on Sepulveda Boulevard at 4:10 a.m. on February 27th.

The homeless man was reportedly walking outside a marked crosswalk when a southbound vehicle struck him. 

Sadly, he died at the scene.

The involved driver also failed to stop after impact and left the scene.

At this time there is no information on the involved driver or their vehicle.

Witnesses are urged to contact the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division at 818-644-8114.
