Two Pedestrians Killed on Hayes and Roosevelt Streets 

Eligia Del Rosario Morales and two children were struck by a vehicle in Riverside Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at 3:50 p.m. on March 15th within a marked crosswalk. 

A 2020 Range Rover was traveling west on Hayes Street before turning onto Roosevelt Street and hitting the three pedestrians.

Sadly, Morales and a little boy died as a result.

The other girl involved suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The involved driver was left unharmed. 

An active investigation is underway.
