Motorcyclist Eduardo Zaragoza Dies in Cajon Pass Accident
On October 8 around 4:21 AM, Eduardo Zaragoza, a 30-year-old man from Phelan, lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident. The incident took place along the Cajon Pass I-15 near the Kenwood Avenue exit.
Understanding Eduardo Zaragoza’s Last Moments
According to California Highway Patrol, Zaragoza was riding his motorcycle before losing control and being ejected from his bike and struck by a red Nissan Sentra. Zaragoza was pronounced dead at scene. The tragic collision is still under investigation.
Based on recent findings, approximately 80% of accidents involving a motorcycle result in injuries or death. Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019.
