Pedestrian Fatally Struck on 134 Freeway 

27-year-old Chase Newton was hit and killed by a vehicle on Sunday night in Eagle Rock.

Reports included that the incident occurred at about 11:38 p.m. on the 134 Freeway.

A gray Hyundai Veloster hit Newton as he was walking along the freeway.

Sadly, he was declared dead at the scene. 

All eastbound lanes were shut down by CHP at Harvey Drive pending investigation and cleanup.
