Bike Accident Kills Man on Val Vista Street and Paige Drive

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal e-bike crash that took place in Pomona on Sunday.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on August 21st. 

A vehicle reportedly struck the male order on Val Vista Street and Paige Drive. 

Sadly, the man died as a result. 

All lanes were shut down following the crash for investigation and cleanup purposes. 

Similar to motorcyclists, bicyclists are just as vulnerable on the roads. According to the NHTSA, 30% of bicycle accident injuries occur when hit by a vehicle. In addition, these injuries are often the result of the driver not paying attention. 

Because of the various dangers bicyclists face on the road, it is important that they possess all protection equipment.
