55-year-old Jon Sherwood Died in a Thursday night Motorcycle Accident

The accident took place at around 10 p.m. on October 21st in Desert Hot Springs at the intersection of Pierson Boulevard and Highway 62. 

23-year-old Mia Perry was reportedly driving under the influence and has been arrested on the suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. 

According to reports, Perry failed to yield to the right of way and collided with Sherwood who was riding a motorcycle. 

As a result, Sherwood sustained fatal injuries and was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. 

Perry was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio and is held at a $50,000 bail.
