Deadly Accident Involving DUI Driver in San Luis Obispo 

64-year-old Stephen James Kritz was killed in a DUI crash on Saturday, July 30th. 

The wreck occurred at about 8:15 a.m. in San Luis Obispo on Tank Farm Road. 

An eastbound vehicle veered into oncoming traffic, causing a collision with the vehicle that Kritz was driving. 

The DUI driver suffered major injuries and has been ID’d as David Downs. He was arrested on murder, gross vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence of a drug, and causing injury or death.
