DUI Crash In Santa Maria Injures a Family of 5

Several people were injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Santa Maria on Sunday night, according to authorities.

The incident happened at North Blosser Road and West Alvin Avenue at around 8 p.m. on November 6.

According to the report, a driver is suspected to have been drunk when he collided with a vehicle occupied by a family of five.

Three children under the age of 10 in the second vehicle were ejected in the crash. They were flown to an out-of-area hospital with major injuries.

The children’s parents were transported to Marian Hospital in Santa Maria with major injuries.

The other driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Authorities are investigating the collision.
