Benedo Alfaro Vasquez Killed in Mendota Head-On Crash 

CHP reported a fatal collision involving a DUI driver on October 3rd in Mendota, California. 

The accident took place around 3 in the morning on Monday on Highway 33. 

Benedo Alfaro Vasquez, 22, was driving north when a southbound driver, Gilbert Castro, veered into his lane causing a head-on crash. 

Castro’s vehicle acquired major damage; however, he was left unharmed. 

Sadly, Vasquez, of Mendota, died at the scene. 

Police ended up arresting Castro on suspicion of DUI after showing signs of intoxication.
