A big rig accident left Du Maurier Way dead on the Interstate 10

Accident happened near Arrowhead Boulevard in Blythe, CA. The victim was identified as a 41-year-old Maricopa, Arizona man by the California Highway Patrol group.

The crash began when Du Maurier Way was outside of a truck on the the eastbound Interstate 10 in Blythe to inspect mechanical issues. At the same time, two trucks were also stopped west of Arrowhead Boulevard.

For unclear reasons, a big rig veered off the road and then struck him. Authorities confirmed that Du Maurier Way died at the scene of the Blythe crash.

As a result, the tractor-trailer rolled over as a result of the wreck. Paramedics had to transport the driver, 60-year-old Whittier resident, Samuel Garcia, to a nearby hospital for further treatment of a head injury.

Meanwhile, a woman riding one of the vehicles involved complained of pain following the collision. The cause of the tragic incident is still under investigation.
