Fatal Crash on Highway 18 Leaves One Hurt
Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal accident that occurred in Apple Valley Thursday afternoon.
It was about 3 p.m. when a sedan collided with a van on Highway 18.
Both vehicles sustained major damage due to the impact.
One person also suffered critical injuries and was hospitalized.
Sadly, the female driver of the sedan died as a result. Witnesses also reported that a puppy died as well in the crash.
Additionally, minor injuries were reported from the van driver.
Police forced a closure of the eastbound lanes of Highway 18 for a period of time following the wreck.
