Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle on Big Bear Boulevard
A Big Bear resident ID’d as Deryk Shaffer was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening.
Per the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred on March 20th around 6:30 p.m.
Shaffer was riding east before losing control due to a westbound Toyota making a left turn in front of him.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Bear Valley Community Hospital.
Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An active investigation is underway.
