Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101
57-year-old Debra Reynoso was hit and killed by a Buick LaSabre on Monday night, April 4th.
According to CHP, the woman was crossing from the right shoulder on Highway 101 towards the median just before midnight.
Reynoso was then struck by the vehicle in Santa Barbara near Castillo Street.
Sadly, she suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver, ID’d as Isaac Joseph Vargas, 31, was fully cooperative with authorities at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
