Major Injury Collision on Highway 129 at Old Chittenden Road

A head-on collision left one dead and two others seriously hurt in Watsonville Wednesday afternoon.

On April 6th, around 4:18 p.m., two vehicles collided on Highway 29.

A Honda Odyssey, driven by Henry Dalrymple, 28, crashed with an oncoming Nissan Sentra driven by Rosalba Gonzalez, 57.

The impact of the crash caused glass debris to be scattered across the roadway.

Sadly, first responders pronounced Gonzalez dead at the scene.

Additionally, the Honda then collided with an Acura Integra driven by Armando Valencia.

Valencia and Dalrymple suffered severe injuries and were airlifted to Natividad Medical Center.

In addition, a dog was in one of the vehicles and was treated by The Animal Control Unit.

Both directions of the highway remained blocked for several hours following the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
