Man Killed in Kings County Traffic Accident

Multiple vehicles collided on Saturday morning resulting in the death of one unidentified man.

The deadly incident occurred on November 13th at 8 a.m. on Dairy Avenue.

According to CHP, a 74-year-old man was operating a tractor on the shoulder of a dirt road when an oncoming semi hit him.

Due to the impact, the man’s tractor overturned and he was ejected.

Shortly after, a trash truck then hit both the semi-truck and the tractor.

The 74-year-old was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.

In addition, the semi-truck driver, 35, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Kaweah Health Medical Center.

The driver of the trash truck was left uninjured.

California Highway Patrol are actively investigating the deadly accident.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
