118 Freeway Accident Leaves One Dead 

One person died in a multi-vehicle accident Thursday night in Porter Ranch, Los Angeles.

The wreck occurred at 11:42 p.m. within the westbound lanes of the 118 Freeway June 9th.

CHP reported that a total of four vehicles were involved. It is unclear, however, what caused the collision near Reseda Boulevard.

Due to the impact, one of the vehicles rolled over. 

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of kin. 

Authorities also shut down the westbound lanes of the freeway for a period of time for investigation and cleanup purposes.

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
