Two-Vehicle Collision Killed One And Left One Injured
The crash was reported around 3:30 a.m. in Corona on September 14th on the I-15 Freeway.
According to reports, the collision happened near the El Cerrito Road exit. After two vehicles collided, one person exited their vehicle and was struck by an oncoming car. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition, a female passenger in her 40s was also injured and transported to Corona Regional Medical Center.
One of the involved motorists reportedly fled the scene which led to police conducting a search of the area.
A SigAlert was also issued by authorities for about an hour and the no. 1, 2 & 3 lanes were blocked.
Authorities are actively investigating the fatal crash.
