71-Year-Old Man Killed on Beaumont Avenue 

The man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday morning has been identified as David Beltran, 71. 

Beltran was reportedly struck on December 16th at 6:20 a.m. in the 10400 block of Beaumont Avenue. 

As he was attempting to walk from the west side to the east side, a northbound GMC Sierra hit him going 25-30 mph. 

Video surveillance showed that Beltran was walking outside of the crosswalk and stepped out in front of the GMC.

In addition, the involved driver stopped at the scene to call 911 and was fully cooperative with authorities. 

Beltran was rushed to Riverside University Medical Center but sadly died at the hospital a few hours later. 

The crash remains under investigation.
