Daniel Holcomb, Motorcyclist, Killed in Vegas Crash

A fatal accident claimed the life of 44-year-old Daniel Holcomb on Saturday afternoon, September 4th. 

The collision took place on Lake Mead Boulevard around 3:50 p.m., per reports. 

A FedEx delivery truck reportedly collided with a motorcycle ridden by Holcomb. 

According to authorities, the delivery truck approached the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Winwood Street when it swerved into Holcomb’s path. As a result, the rider overturned and was ejected, causing him to hit the truck. 

Holcomb was rushed to University Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Motorcycle accidents, according to the NHTSA, accounted for 14% of motor vehicle accident deaths in 2019. Motorcyclists should be fully aware of the safety challenges in which they face while riding on roads. Below are some tips for motorcyclists:

  • Ride responsibly 
  • Be knowledgeable and practice how to properly operate a motorcycle 
  • Ensure you are licensed prior to operating a motorcycle
